Speaking

Talks that leave a room with something it can use.

Hospitality, ownership, women and money, and the work behind the work — on stages, panels, and podcasts.

Why bring me in

A kitchen-table conversation, not a sales pitch.

I speak on stages, panels, and podcasts about hospitality, direct bookings, brand building, women in business, financial independence, and building companies that outlast the season you're in. I try to leave a room with something it can actually use.

I'm not interested in motivation that evaporates by the parking lot. I'd rather give a room the honest version — the wins, the failures, the pivots, and the numbers underneath them — so people walk out with a decision they can make on Monday. I've built and led across hospitality, real estate, and a financial-independence community for women, and I bring the receipts as readily as the stories.

What I speak about

Six talks I keep being asked to give.

Each one can flex from a twenty-minute keynote to a long-form fireside. Tell me your audience and I'll meet them where they are.

Hospitality & Guest ExperienceWhat actually makes a guest feel cared for — and why the standard was never the thread count or the spreadsheet. The care people remember long after checkout. Keynote
Direct Bookings & the Vacation-Rental BusinessOwning the guest relationship instead of renting it from a platform — brand, trust, and the systems that turn a one-time stay into a business that compounds. Industry
Women, Money & Financial IndependenceOwnership, options, and treating retirement as a decision rather than a birthday. The conversation behind Girl Retire, made practical for the women in the room. Signature
Building & Leading Through ChangePivots, pressure, and the unglamorous middle of company-building — how to lead a team and yourself when the plan stops working and the market keeps moving. Keynote
Brand BuildingHow a brand becomes the reason people choose you, refer you, and come back — built from a clear promise and kept by a thousand small, consistent things. Workshop
Living & Working by the SeasonsBuilding companies that outlast the season you're in — and a life that doesn't have to wait until the work is finally done. Place, rhythm, and the freedom both can buy. Fireside
Formats

However your room is shaped.

Keynote stage, panel table, two chairs and a mic, or a guest seat on your podcast — the topics travel; only the format changes.

Stage20–60 min

Keynotes

A single, well-built talk shaped to your audience and your moment — story, substance, and a clear takeaway people can act on. Tailored from any of the topics above.

ConversationMulti-voice

Panels

A candid, generous panelist who lifts the whole table — happy to take the hard questions, share real numbers, and keep the conversation honest rather than rehearsed.

IntimateTwo chairs

Fireside Chats

My favorite room. A relaxed, interview-style conversation that goes deeper than a keynote allows — the long version of the story, the part that doesn't fit on a slide.

AudioRemote or in-person

Podcast Guesting

An easy, prepared guest who shows up with stories and specifics — hospitality, building businesses, women and money, and living by the seasons. Send the angle and I'll bring the rest.

Hospitality Founder · Investor · Writer · Speaker · Mother of Four

Tera Lorimer is a hospitality founder, investor, writer, and speaker, and the woman behind Luxury Getaways and Girl Retire. Over more than a decade she has built boutique hospitality across the Pacific Northwest, Arizona, and Coastal Georgia, and now leads Girl Retire, a financial-independence community for women who want retirement to become a choice rather than a birthday.

She speaks on hospitality and guest experience, direct bookings and the vacation-rental business, women and money, brand building, and leading through change — always with the same throughline: that the best businesses are built around service, and the best lives are built with intention. A mother of four, she lives by the seasons, splitting the year between Pacific Northwest winters, summers on the water, and spring and fall on the Georgia coast.
